Short Inca Trail to Machu Picchu
Ditch the tents and arduous climbing with this Short Inca Trail program to Machu Picchu. Challenge yourself with one days hiking before resting at a hotel in Aguas Calientes and entering the ruins on the following day through the historic Sun Gate.
Day 1 – Arrive into Cuzco. Your pick up and drop off service will be waiting to take you to your hotel.
Day 2 – Explore Cuzco. Today your local guide will take you to enjoy the inca capital city of Cuzco as well as the surrounding ruins. Explore Qoricancha – the temple of the sun, the ruins of Sacsayhuaman and Q’enko as well as the plazas, cathedrals and inca walls that make up this colourful city and add to it’s historic charm. In the evening, you will be briefed and handed your maps so you are ready to begin your short inca trail on the following day.
Day 3 – Your Short Trekking program will begin with a train ride to your starting point. You will hike for most of the day through a portion of the famous Inca Trek before finishing at the town of Aguas Calientes, located below the mountain. Stay overnight.
Day 4 – This morning you will be taken to Machu Picchu and enter it through the sun gate, Explore these ruins led by your guide who will offer you a perspective on the many mysteries surrounding this archaeological site. Lunch will be served at a hotel near the ruins. In the afternoon, you will board the train back to Cuzco. Stay overnight.
Day 5 – Your program will finish with a drop off at Cuzco airport in time for your flight.

4 nights accommodation (3 nights in Cuzco and 1 night in Aguas Calientes,) city tour of Cuzco, assisted trekking day, guided tour of Machu Picchu ruins, Vistadome train travel, daily breakfasts, 2 lunches, 1 dinner, pick up and drop off service between airport/train station to hotel.
Choose from 3 or 4 star equivalent hotels in Cuzco and Aguas Calientes (the town below Machu Picchu.)
