A representative will be waiting to greet you on arrival into Quito airport and promptly take you to settle in to a hotel close to the airport.

This morning you will be collected in time to transfer you for your flight to the mysterious Galapagos Islands (Flight and entrances included.)

On arrival into the airport, you will be transferred and board your cruise that will serve as your base to explore for the next few days.

Cruise through the various sites and islands within this volcanic archipelago, admiring the abundant wildlife, desolate scenery and the impact this area has had on modern science through the legacy of Charles Darwin. Your cruise will include activities, landings and guided walks to the various visitor spots led by trained and experienced guides as well as meals and use of selected facilities onboard. Islands visited will depend on the itinerary of the selected cruise.

Your cruise will finish with a final excursion this morning before you are transported back to the airport for your flight to the mainland. You can choose to fly either to Quito or Guayaquil depending on your following flight.

The capital of Ecuador is considered the largest colonial town of the Americas and declared a UNESCO World Heritage site. Today you can immerse yourself in the eclectic architecture, varied colonial facades and adorned balconies on many of churches and private residences in the historic part of the city (sometimes referred to as ‘the old town.’)

Highlights of the walking tour include the gothic Basilica of the Heart of Jesús, the so called street of the seven crosses with its many churches, the Jesuit temple and ‘La Compania de Jesus’ and its baroque display, and the Plaza of San Francisco temple and convent.

Choose how you will discover Quito and its surrounds from our various available activities. Stay in town and delve into the city’s historic art scene and be treated to local music and dance folkloric performance, catch a glimpse of indigenous Andean life with a trip to Otavalo Market and the Magdalena Karanki community, put your archaeology hats on as you travel to the ruins of Tulipe and the Pahuma Orchid reserve or, simply head to Papallacta for a retreat amongst the hot springs. This morning you will be collected and taken to the airport for your flight to Coca, the gateway of the Amazon. You will travel by road and motorised canoe to reach your vessel, the Manatee Explorer which will be your home for the next four nights as you navigate the rivers and tributaries of the Amazon basin and explore the extremely bio-diverse Yasuni National Park.

Your home for this exploration will be the M/V Anakonda, a luxury ship that provides an interactive way of exploring the Amazon through expert led excursions and activities whilst enjoying the comforts of a boutique five star hotel. Featuring ample suites with panoramic windows, air conditioning and a private bathroom as well as gourmet level dining options and social areas including an observation deck, alfresco lounge and two Jacuzzis, cruising on the Anakonda is the ideal way to explore and indulge through this mysterious part of the world at the same time.

You will explore the heart of the Ecuadorian Amazon, through the Napo river and the Yasuni National Park with a variety of excursions included as part of a set program. This includes exploration on land and on the river, with forest hikes as well as canoe led excursions to learn about the different species of flora and fauna, a visit to the local community to learn of their way of life and their medicinal traditions and also experience the magic of the jungle from above from a hundred foot high observation tower. Your platinum experience also includes a night of ‘glamping’ in the rainforest.

Your final day begins with your last breakfast in this deeply, rewarding place before you are transferred back to Coca airport for your flight back to Quito. Tour ends.
