DAY 1 Arrive Rio de Janeiro

Start your adventures by meeting your local representative with a pick up service from Rio de Janeiro airport. Settle in and get prepared for the next day's discovery of Rio de Janeiro. Overnight

DAY 2 Explore Rio de Janeiro

Explore the city that everybody dreams about visiting at least once, Rio de Janeiro. Today you will drive past the beaches to see the ‘Marvellous City’ from it’s favourite viewpoint, at the top of Cerro Corcovado next to Christ the Redeemer. Includes scenic train ride through Tijuca National Park. (Half day excursion.)

DAY 3 Rio de Janeiro on your terms

Explore Rio de Janeiro in your own way. Choose from an aerial discovery of the city onboard the cablecar to Sugarloaf mountain OR take a schooner (historic boat) trip around Guanabara bay OR be led on a walking tour through the historic downtown precinct OR experience of the city’s favelas (shanty towns.) Choose an excursion in the Package Builder

DAY 4 Journey to Iguazu Falls

Early this morning you will head to the airport for your flight to Iguassu (included.) On the way you will visit the panoramic side of these beautiful waterfalls that are located on the Brazilian side.

DAY 5 Explore Iguazu falls on your terms

Decide how you wish to further explore these waterfalls: Take the scenic Macuco Safari boat trip OR learn more about the wildlife with a visit to the bird park OR cross the border to explore the Argentinean perspective of the falls OR view the falls from above in a once in a lifetime helicopter ride. (Additional US$100 per person.) Choose an excursion in the Package Builder

DAY 6 Journey to Salvador de Bahia

Head back to Iguassu airport to board your flight north to Salvador de Bahia (included.) The original capital of Brazil, this large portside city is home to a beautiful historic district, nice beaches and the country’s ‘African tradition and heritage is everywhere.

DAY 7 Explore Salvador de Bahia

Today you will explore the beautiful historic centre of Salvador, referred to as Pelourinho as originally it housed many slaves some centuries ago. You will walk through the cobblestone streets, past the ornate baroque buildings and colonial facades, visit the church of San Francisco and appreciate the unique blend of African and Colonial cultures.

DAY 8 Salvador de Bahia on your terms

Today you can choose how you wish to explore this charming city by delving deeper into the slave heritage and influence through an Afro-Brazilian cultural tour, OR participate in a capoeira session with a teacher who will guide you through the basics of this musical martial art form, OR escape to the northern beaches of Praia do Forte and visit the Projecto Tamar turtles OR experience the music and dance of this regions with a local theatre performance by the Miguel Santana group. DAY 9 Finish your journey

Finish your tour with a drop off at Salvador airport.
